Measurement baseline 130 ft How far a hill is averaged over when looking for one. Longer settings join neighbouring pitches into a single long hill; shorter ones keep them apart. Grades are also always read over a fixed 80 ft window underneath this, so a short steep block still registers however this is set — and the max grade always comes from that window. Discard readings above 38% The steepest streets on record are around 35%, and this terrain data under-reports steep grades rather than over-reporting them. Anything above this is treated as an artifact — an unmapped bridge, a wall, or bad geometry — and dropped. Include paths, trails & stairs
